In this week's Tadah! Favourite feature we have Laura from Perth, Western Australia. Laura is a total inspiration. She hasn't been sewing long but has set up her business at Cutie Pies Couture. She's here to tell us about one of her favourite patterns today, the Pleatie Playsuit. What has drawn me to Laura's work is her effective use of simple fabric to beautifully showcase the pattern. A big tick for Tadah!

Hi, I'm Laura. I've been sewing for approximately 15 months - yes I am fairly new handmaiden compared to some of the amazing talent out there! My 3 girls are my inspiration as I wanted to be at home with them but also have something for me as a hobby on the side. But the hobby has turned more into a casual job which I love.

My favourite Tadah! pattern is the Pleatie Playsuit. It is versatile and can be worn with items already in your child's wardrobe in all seasons.

When I select fabric for this pattern I lean towards solid colours or fabrics that are not too busy mainly so the pleatie playsuit can be teamed up with a variety of coordinating bottoms.

I try to sew in between housework and when my kids nap/sleep; sometimes this means late nights and I have been lucky that my husband gives me a few hours on the weekend to sew. I also have a day/week kid free to sew away.
