Project Run and Play - Season 19

We are beyond bursting with excitement to be involved with Project Run and Play for Season 19!

Basically, we're given a theme each week and we design an outfit around the theme and a panel of judges will pick a winner each week.

So now is a good time to reintroduce ourselves.

Hello!!  I'm Lauren (AKA Lauz) I learnt to sew from my Mum and Dad (!) at a very young age and have worn many hats in my adult life, most of which have revolved around teaching. As a qualified primary school teacher, and previous owner of a busy swim school, breaking complex tasks down in to small manageable steps is what I do best!

Tadah Patterns was established in 2013 - born out of my love of sewing and determination to create clothing that is practical and comfortable for little ones to wear, yet so beautiful that they will turn heads all over town.

Tanya has been part of Tadah in one way or another since it’s very beginning. She was a pattern tester for the Butterfly Tea Dress (Tadah’s first pattern release and Tanya’s very first sewn clothing item!) and has tested almost every pattern since!

Tanya is now a vital part of the Tadah team as our pattern hack guru, and social media/customer service queen!

“Sewing is my calm to the storm that is two, active little girls with out-of-control social lives! I’ve always followed along with the previous seasons of Project Run and Play with admiration for the talented people who create some amazing pieces and I’m so honoured to be able to join in” ~ Tanya

We are both Sydneysiders and are so thrilled to be involved in this season of Project Run and Play. As soon as we were given the themes our minds started filling with ideas and inspiration! In our usual style we had about 40 sketches of things we wanted to make for each theme but of course had to procrastinate for weeks over which to actually make - haha!

You can follow along with us on Insta or Facebook where we will be sharing plenty of behind the scenes pics, or on our Blog

We will be sharing the fun together (completing alternate weeks) and can’t wait to share our ideas and creations with you all! In the words of Lola Dutch "we are just bursting with ideas"

Happy sewing

Lauren and Tanya

I have a couple of Tasdah patterns – tea party and festival dress. I make for two of my granddaughters. I absolutely love all Tanya’s outfits she makes and her posts.
