Quarantine Journal FREE Printable for Kids
This is a bit of a different post to our usual.. But we find ourselves living very different lives than we are used to also!
As some of you may know, I am an ex-primary school teacher. Creating learning resources was always one of my favourite parts of the job and I guess I kind of continued with that since sewing patterns are basically a learning resources for adults.
Anyway, I was thinking the other day about how this incredibly strange and unsettling time is affecting our little people. They are right in the thick of a huge historical event - one that will be spoken and written about for decades to come. Wouldn't it be nice for them to have a record of their experiences during this time?
So I created this journal page to give my girls an opportunity to express their feelings and record their day. I didn't want it to be doom and gloom so made sure there is a clear focus on positivity and gratitude. We've set aside 20-30mins after dinner each night for journalling and so far it has been going great!

If you have a sewing machine at home now is a great time to teach your kids (or yourself!) to sew! We have a bunch of beginner friendly sewing patterns in the Tadah shop but the best one to start with is our FREE First Timer Skirt (currently available in sizes 1-5 but I will be increasing the size range very soon!)
Another fun pattern to sew with your kids is our Mix & Match Pillow Friends - let them design their own pillow friend using the template included in the pattern and then sew it up together. This pattern uses scraps of fabric so it is the perfect quarantine sewing project!
